Prayers Are Needed!!!

Several months ago, I introduced Zachary to you. He is a Marine, who is currently serving in Afghanistan. Zachary graduated from high school with my son, John.

John sent me the following note, which he received from Zachary's dad:
"The Marines called me this morning to tell me Zach got hit by an IED. He was in a Humvee on the machine gun turret. Luckily he got away with just a grade III concussion and lacerations to the scalp. He called today and said it was not that bad. He sounded normal so I think he will be fine. He is in a hospital in Afghanistan."

I ask each of you to pray for this young man and his family.

I ask each of you to take a few moments and pray for all of the sons and daughters, husbands and wives, grandsons and granddaughters, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors who proudly and bravely serve in our military.

May Almighty God Bless each and every Airman, Soldier, Sailor and Marine.

May Almighty God Bless the families, who love them so.

  19. How sad that every day these thing occur, but our lives just go on. If it were our son, my daughter, it would have such a different meaning. Isn't it easy to just ignor the war, ignor the pain that so many are suffering when it doesn't impact you personally. Thank you for taking the time to MAKE it personal. And I loved your posting on Friday Thanking God. Very touching.

  41. Hi, thanks for visiting our blog and we are looking forward you getting to know us better. Myself has been here at your blog before but never commented. Mostly because I was at loss for words. I dont want to go into politics, however the support your troopy receive from their families, support groups etc is awesome. The support never seesm to yyield. Being German and knowing we have troups out in the world too by an increasing amount, I am shocked and sometimes at loss that noone seems to bother, no one seems to care. Being a recent transplant to Florida ( over in Germany only to sort out soms stuff ) I feel a bit detached to constructively do something for the German troups, except of keeping them in my mind daily. And will include this young man in my thoughts. Paula xx
