As many of you may have noticed by now, my ‘virtual’ SoldierSon, MudPuppy has made the decision to take his blog private. For those who find his words a colorful expression of this conflict…daily visits to his blog will be sorely missed. MudPuppy's honest, yet amusing perception of this war has illuminated my vision and I am certain many of you feel likewise.
MudPuppy will guest on my blog, from time to time. Whatever we would like him to write about, he will do so (time-willing). I will provide updates, letting you know how he is doing. If he or his comrades have special requests (both prayer and tangible items), I will pass them along.
Our continued prayers and support for MudPuppy, along with each and every Airman, Soldier, Sailor and Marine is needed.

aam...I can't wait to read of your weekend visit with your soldier! Please let me know if you have ideas for MudPuppy to blog about, he is open to ideas! Thank you for stopping by!
I can't wait for the guest blogging either! I don't know if "colorful" does his writing justice! :D
Glad to know he's doing well.
Continued prayers for Mud Puppy and all who serve.
I have not been around lately, and was surprised with the new look.
I like it!
lola..."colorful" was one of so many adjectives which can be used to describe MudPuppy's writing style...Please pass along post ideas!
grandma...thank you for your kind words!
I was raised in an Air Force family. My father learned to fly in open cockpit planes back during the Depression. He spent the better part of his life serving this country. I spent my early years being dragged from one air base to another. I can relate to the concerns and pride a loved one has for their family member serving in uniform.
Sorry I missed his blog. But well I am here now. Thanks for stopping by.
I did much of my growing up in the DC area as Dad was stationed at the Pentagon near the end of his career. I lived twice in Bethesda, Oxon Hill, Fairfax, Downtown DC. We used to go to Seneca Creek all the time. If I am not mistaken Poolesville is right around the corner.
Glad Mudpuppy will be guesting. I for one miss reading his blog and I'm glad you will keep us updated.
That's great news, AMM
MrCrum...I'm pleased you happened upon my blog and I am certain you will enjoy MudPuppy's guest spots. He is currently an MP stationed in Afghanistan.
You are correct, Poolesville is not far at all from Seneca Creek. We are within 6 miles of the Potomac River, on the Maryland side. Whites Ferry is the only working ferry on the Potomac River, and Poolesville is actually rich in Civil War history!
A special thank you to your family for their military service!
julie...MudPuppy will be missed by many, he is an outstanding soldier, a good man and a fun blogger!
AB Dad...thank you for stopping by!
It made me so just a tad bit mad and yet sad to see MudPuppy's blog go dark. There was another one that was shut down as well from A'stan. "Helocopters in Afganistan".
At least we'll be able to check in on them every once in a while.
Perhaps MudPuppy can blog about any trips out to the villages.
AM, Thanks for keeping us updated...
ky...your words are perfect, I too am mad and sad that MudPuppy, along with other soldiers are being 'encouraged' to take their blogs private. They are fighting for our freedoms and yet they are unable to 'speak'. I know in my head they are doing what is right, but in my heart....well that's another story!
AM,
I was very disappointed to find out that MudPuppy had gone private, but I respect his wishes. Please let him know that I continue to pray for him and those that stand alongside him. I will certainly enjoy his guest posts here on your blog. I certainly miss visiting with him.
Blessings,
Mary
mary...I do understand how you feel. I'll make certain to pass along your prayers. Thank you for stopping by!
aw i totally am going to miss mud puppy! but look forward to his updates here!
11whiskey...MudPuppy's words will be here to be read soon!
I was so sad to see that MudPuppy's blog had gone to private. You see, my son is almost finished with BOLC III and will no doubt see Afghanistan. I was beyond freaked. MudPuppy was the first person I could trust to tell it like it is over there and I started to calm down. I can handle the truth, but my imagination was running wild. MudPuppy was such a comfort to me and I keep him and his soldiers in my daily prayers. Please thank him for what he did for me and I hope that some day he will be writing again as he helped me make it through every day.
Ness...I will make certain to pass along your kind words to MudPuppy! He has promised to guest host on my blog, his words will be welcomed by many! I do have a few pictures of him to post...I'll do a MP update on Thursday!
Thank you again!!!
