Talking Tuesday
Oh. My. Goodness.
As most of you know, I live in the state of Maryland. Last Friday a snowstorm moved into the Mid-Atlantic area dumping 30 inches of the white stuff on our quaint little town, when it was all said and done on Saturday night. Hubster and I shoveled about 8 inches on Friday night. Our driveway is about 90 feet long, so the remaining 22 inches of snow was shoveled on Saturday and Sunday. Monday we tackled the sidewalk, front porch and the ten steps leading to the front door. Today, we are expecting an additional 10+ inches of snow.
Now that you have the weather update for our region...let me say, I. LOVE. SNOW! There is nothing more beautiful, than snowflakes falling to the ground at night. Falling snow is so pristine and so graceful. I could watch it snow for hours and hours...in fact that is exactly what Hubster and I did. Hubster works for Uncle Sam and the snow in our area has been so paralyzing to traffic and Metro, he has not been to work since last Thursday!
So, here's today's Talking Tuesday.....
What is your favorite season? What is your favorite winter memory? Do you go bonkers when house-bound for a week or more? Do you mind that AirmanMom chose to talk about snow today?
Your turn.............
This photo was taken Friday night, after Round One of shoveling.
We had hoped Round Two of shoveling would get the job done. Not!
Once the shoveling was done, it was time to play! Our mutt, Luke had too much fun chasing snowballs! He is confused at times, thinking he is a retriever.

We were stationed in Maine for 6 years and I loved snowmobiling! Now, in NC, I am so over Winter. Being in the house alone all day is not fun. Looking forward to Spring!
My drive is about the same but up hill!
I'm not usually a fan of winter..I don't particularly care for being cold but I will say that after 5 yrs of Texas living where we saw snow 2 times and for less then 24 hours each time, I am enjoying the Missouri winter with the fluffy snowflakes.
My favorite season is fall though, at least now that we are in the midwest with the different colors bursting and the cooler temps coming out.
I love the Fall, but I did enjoy the snow and being stranded in VA this past weekend. But enough is enough. I'm heading back to NY Thursday. Will I make it?
I don't care about coming back, but going up, with twenty dogs, and having to lay up in a motel...not good. Walking them would me murder.
I really like spring and fall. Spring because of the nice weather and fall because of football and the state fair. But then again I really enjoy summer as well. It's hot here but I love it. We don't really have much of a winter in Texas so maybe that's why I don't like it as much. We typically get ice around here. Not so much on the snow. :)
Hi AAM, thought I'd check in and say hello. Loved the story but really loved the pictures. How beautiful.

BRING ON THE SUMMER!!
I'm tired of this cold stuff.
ick
yuk
ack.
I am from Texas. I like it hot.
brrrrrrrrr
Hmm, lots of Texans on this comment! I've lived where it is cold and snowy for 7 months out of the year. I love the skiing, but the snow gets old. TX and OK snow is mucky and useless, and I am not fond of it. BTW, I'm a Texan too.
I like winter but Fall is my favorite. I lived in Phoenix and Los Angels HATED warm and sunny winters. I live in Nebraska now and get a nice variety of weather, sometimes all in one day.
Well, AM, you pretty much know how I feel about snow at this point, but if anyone else is interested, please visit my blog at http://heartbass.blogspot.com. I live in the same county as you, so ended up with about the same amount of white stuff. The biggest difference is that I'm in a condo, so I didn't have to shovel sidewalks and driveways. I just had to dig out my car, which was enough! SPRING, WHERE ARE YOU??
debbie...I've been to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard during the winter...it is cold up there in the New England area. Around here, we just are not equipped to handle the snow...which creates a nightmare on the roads!
TAS...my favorite season is Fall also...I was told that those born in the Fall season always like it best...being a September baby, I can say that is a true statement!
coffeypot...hoping you are home safe, sound and toasty!
afwingmom...we normally get more ice than snow, which is one reason I am loving all this snow! The ice is terrifying to me...then again I fell and broke my tailbone several years ago, so going down on the booty again is not an option!
karen...thank you so very much for stopping by!
mightymom...when it comes to the DC area's humidity in July and August...that is my super-YUCK! Give me a cold day, with a cup of tea and a blanket!
bagblog....perhaps I should change the name of my blog to "Texas Readers Only" :)
lynette...Nebraska is one of the states I would like to live...it appears to be a slow-paced style, unlike this DC zaniness. And to know the weather is perfect too...things that make me go hmmmmmmm :)
HB...I know you are not lovin the white stuff these days...but it will be Spring soon enough!
Anyone reading this, please stop by HeartBass's blog and wish my sweet friend a Happy Birthday!!!!
Love ya, Girl!
