Godspeed, Shay!

Please take a moment today to give hugs and lift your prayers for Shay's Mom. Shay is leaving Fairchild AFB today, to begin her deployment in Iraq.

Shay attended Tech School at Wright-Patterson. She and her mom met my son, John and they enjoyed a lunch together. Shay's Mom is retired from the Army; she understands first hand what it is like to walk in her daughter's boots.

My hope is to meet Shay at BWI, before her departure. She makes her Mom proud. Shay is a brave young woman, dedicated to our Nation. I have no doubt she will serve our Country well.

Shay, my heartfelt thanks for your sacrifice. May God watch over you and protect you. May God comfort the heart of your Mom, who loves you so.

Godspeed, Shay!

AM,

I will be praying for Shay. What a dedicated young woman. I hope you do get to meet her.

Praying for all of our brave men and women in uniform. We lost four and a female journalist last week. Please pray for their families.

Blessings,
Mary

Thanks so much for the follow! :) I browsed your blog this evening and I LOVE it. I'll be back often.

Prayers and blessings to you and yours. I participate in Any Soldier as well; I'm looking forward to gaining more insights on how I can help those deployed and their loved ones here at home through your blog.

Keep up the GREAT blog.

AM, I am in tears. What a wonderful thing for you to do. You are a wonderful person. It would be great if Shay were able to meet you. You would love her. But I also know that her time is not her own today and she has to do what "they" want to do. If not on this end of the trip then definatly on the return leg. Hugs my friend.

as we support and pray for our troops, like you all have said, the moms and families need prayers and support too.
my son has only been in the USAF for 7 months. we haven't dealt with anything like this yet.
but i feel so much for those who are going through it. i'm proud of our troops and proud of the families.
