I agree...finish the job otherwise it all will be in vain. Doesn't matter why we went or whatever, we are there and we must complete the mission.

As my husband (21 year Army Veteran) says, let me finish the mission so my boys won't have to come back and do it for me.

Untie their hands and let them do what they are trained to do. Now it's like having a surgeon who can only use one hand to operate and only if the department head says when and how he can operate. We will loose fewer troops if that are allowed to operate in the manner they are trained to do. Then, when the area is cleared of the bad guys, and the indigenous peeps take control, will we be able to bring home the troops - as total heroes and winners.

I'd prefer we had a president that actually defined the mission. what is our objective? my son is headed over to Afghanistan in July, and said they still have no clue what they will be doing over there. artillery? infantry?

it seems like this president has not a clue. he just uses people as objects.

and whoever is making decisions to move troops around---are they afraid to speak up?
