Ahhh...feel the crispness in the air?
Have you noticed when you are in the mall or even Lowe's... Christmas decorations are everywhere? Me too!
Are you baking some pumpkin bread, or attending an apple festival or visiting a pumpkin patch this weekend? Me too!
Have you thought of the desert today? Have you thought of the brave men and women who are serving our nation, to protect our freedoms? Me too.
Have you wondered...what can I do to make this season brighter for one, two or a dozen Airman, Soldiers, Sailors or Marines? Me too.
One source of information is AnySoldier.com
Click on Where to Send and there is a list of Military men and women by Service Branch on the left side bar. Read the stories, hear the requests, remember the gratitude.
Click on What to Send if you want some additional ideas such as phone cards, Dunkin Donuts, Care packages. This page also consists of a great "What NOT to Send" list!
Click "How to Send" for information on e-mail, UPS, USPS, customs, etc.

tonjia..... excellent idea!!!!!
Thanks airman mo for this great blog, I stopped in on each one and signed a card for our troops, it is so wonderful how people get together to let them know they are appreciated. It is certainly the least we can do, after all they do for us! If you would like a great Christmas gift for someone in the military, check out camosock...I just wrote a short blog on it, but they are really good quality and come in the material of each military branch.Love to you and prayers for your son! I have no sound on this computer, but I want to see your video, I sure your mothers heart was proud!
kathleen...thank you for stopping by and sharing the kind words...Your good deeds no doubt are deeply appreciated by our troops!
Hi, 'Mom,
Just dropped over from the One Percenters. Nice blog and so very nice of you to remember our fallen warriors on Wednesday. Adding you to my Blog list over a Mark 1:11.
They call me,
Pops,
pops....it is always nice to have a familiar name drop by and leave kind words! I enjoy stopping by your place for a good read!
Well Airman Mom, your post gave me entirely too much credit. LOL, I appreciate everything you wrote and all of your wonderful words touched me. I especially like the "velvet and steel" thing. I don't know if that's exactly true, maybe a pile of $%(^ wrapped in velvet would be more accurate. Just kidding. But thank you, and this little adventure of mine will be jumping off big time in the next two weeks so keep reading and I'll keep writing.
My mom says hello...
mud puppy...it is impossible for me to adequately thank you and every other member of our military enough for your sacrifice!
