Purpose

I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy.
I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate.
It is, above all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all.

I was at a conference this week and I saw this quote on a board and I wrote it down to share on my blog- great minds think alike. I love these words and believe they say so much. I am enjoying following your blog - I left you a long message the other night and checked later and it was not on there -I don't know what happened - but I pray for your son and all who are living like they are so we can live like we do-in freedom.
Be blessed and I truly mean it!

While I agree with the thoughts, I also beleive we all have a right to be happy, while being helpful useful and compassionate and responsible.
